The XVIII International Congress of Educating Cities begins today

Under the theme “Education and Culture in the City: Community, Critical Thinking, and Creativity”, the city in the Vallès region will become a global meeting point for four days to share experiences, projects, and public policies aimed at building more inclusive and participatory cities.

The day includes various study visits around Granollers, designed to showcase local projects related to education, culture, and citizen participation. In the afternoon, the opening ceremony will welcome delegations from numerous countries and highlight Granollers’ history within the Educating Cities network. The organizers emphasize the collaborative approach taken in preparing this edition, with the involvement of educational institutions, cultural organizations, citizens, and local governments.

The congress faces an intense program over the next few days with the participation of leading figures in education, philosophy, urban planning, art and contemporary thought.
