Educating Cities Award
Recognition and visibility in the work and initiatives of partner cities
At the International Association of Educating Cities, we recognise the initiatives and projects of our member cities and highlight best practices that can serve as a source of inspiration for other cities in building more educational environments.
Each edition focuses on a different theme related to one of the principles of the Charter of Educating Cities, with the aim of illustrating how these principles are put into practice.
The award is presented every two years to three innovative and successful initiatives, selected by an international jury, and is presented during the International Congress of Educating Cities.
Education as a source of inclusion and social cohesion
In a context marked by inequality and exclusion, there is a need for educational, employment and cultural initiatives that safeguard rights, create opportunities and help build fairer, more inclusive and cohesive societies, leaving no one behind.
