City of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona, located at the right bank of the river Llobregat. The territory of the city has 2 different zones: the banks of the river, with a relevant farming production, and the areas of transition towards the Mountain range of Collserola. During the first part of the 20^th century, Sant Joan Despí was a holydays resort, what explains its rich Art Nouveau heritage.
