Rubí

City of the metropolitan area of Barcelona. The stream of the same name crosses the city which is bordered North by the foothills of the Catalan pre-coastal mountain range. The economy of the city centres on services and industrial sectors placed on the industrial parks of the city. Since 1950, the population of the city has boomed because of the immigration. The city has a relevant network of communications by road and train.

Traditional Dances at School

In 1987, Rubí began a project to teach traditional Catalan dances in primary school, proposed by the Esbart Dansaire de Rubí. This program is still in force, promoting culture, psychomotor skills and rhythm in students.
