Oviedo

Located at the north of Spain, Oviedo, is the Capital of the region of Asturias as well as one of its main trade and university centres. The pre-romanesque monuments of Oviedo and the Kingdom of Asturias were declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985. Every year, the city hosts the ceremony of delivery of the Award Princess of Asturias to people and organizations from all around the world in recognition to its contribution to the advance of science, art and fort their contribution for the advance of the society.
