Marco de Canaveses

Marco de Canaveses is located in the Porto district, in the Northern Region of Portugal. It has 16 parishes in an area of 202 square km, between the Douro and Tâmega rivers. Agriculture (millet crops and vineyards) and industrial activities related to granite, clothing, metalworking and civil construction are the most important economic areas. Traditional trade and fairs are also of note.
