Lousa

City located at the district of Coimbra, Portuguese Central region, which combines modernity and tradition. The city lies over a hilly surface of 138,4 km² characterized by forests and fields. The paper industry and the Graphic Arts production are two of the main economic activities of the city. Simultaneously, the rural tourism, attracted by the landscapes of the Lousa Mountain Range and the picturesque Aldeias de Xisto (Schist Villages), is booming. It is also worth mentioning the handicraft production and the production of traditional meals and beverages (wines, liqueurs and honey).
