La Vall d’en Bas

Town located in the province of Girona, in Catalonia (Spain). It spreads through an area of 90 km2 and is composed by seven parishes. La Vall d’en Bas is located in a protected natural area and its main economic activities are those related to agriculture and livestock farming. Tourism, industry and crafts also play an important role. The municipality was created in 1968 through the merge of the villages of Sant Esteve d’en Bas, Sant Privat d’en Bas, Joanetes and la Pinya.
