Granada

Granada is the capital of the homonymous province, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It has a population of more than 230,000 people.

Its neighbourhoods are very different from each other, partly due to the diversity of coexisting cultures and religions and, already in the 20th century, due to the continuous immigration that took place until the 1990s in the context of de-ruralisation.

It is a tourist city, due to its great artistic and cultural legacy, with various monuments of contrasting beauty. Among its historical buildings, the Alhambra monument stands out, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984, next to the Generalife garden and the Albaicín.

Its cultural offer includes several museums, among which the Science Park and the Museum of Fine Arts stand out, considered the oldest provincial art gallery in the country.
