Catalan City placed at the Mediterranean coast 25km South-west of Barcelona near the Garraf Mountains. Castelldefels is split in 2 parts: a urban centre inland and a residential neighbourhood near the beaches and the shore. The city has a campus of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and a Olympic canal since 1992 Olympic Games.
