Premià de Mar

Spanish city located at the Mediterranean coast, 20km North-east Barcelona. At the beginning of the 20th century, Premià de Mar was a small fisherman and summer holidays village. Since 1960, the population of Premià has boomed as a result of immigration. The 90% of the reduced municipality surface (1,97 km²) is has already been developed. In the zones near the coast, some old familiar houses are still conserved. The economy is based on industry, flower growing and services.
