Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Capital of the Island of Gran Canary and co-capital of the Canary Islands. The city lies at the coast of the Atlantic Ocean 150km far from the North-western coast of Africa. Its mild climate, with low rain falls and an annual temperature average of 22º Celsius, has lead Las Palmas to be an international tourism destination. The free port of the city is an important stop in the maritime routes between Europe and Latin America.
