Territorial Networks

They are groups of cities from the same country, region, or geographical area

Territorial networks are characterized by responding to shared political, social and institutional contexts. These networks allow us to work on specific needs and interests of the territory. At the same time, they favor the creation of common positions in front of the local challenges that affect that geographical space. The cities come together to promote the reflection and development of the principles of the Educating Cities Charter. Through this joint work, they strengthen their local policies and promote the expansion of this city model in other municipalities of the territory.

How networks work

Shared knowledge in action

Strategic collaboration and coordinated leadership between cities

Territorial networks promote collaboration between cities in the same territory through shared projects, meeting spaces and joint reflection processes. Different municipalities assume responsibilities on a rotating basis, which favors more participatory and co-responsible governance.

Peer learning

The exchange of experiences, study visits and participation in meetings foster mutual learning between cities. Drawing on shared knowledge and joint reflection, each city can adapt best practices to its own context, thereby enriching its educational and urban policies.

Transfer of resources and practical tools

Networking facilitates the creation and dissemination of resources, methodologies and practical tools that help to effectively implement the principles of the Charter. This knowledge transfer enables a shift from theory to action, adapting proven solutions to the specific needs of each city.
